what annoys me the most about this challenge is that i totally recognized half of them...but only after we talked and you told me the answers. for example, i'd suspected small wonder (fyi--i liked the obnoxious lovesick neighbor girl the best, not shockingly), and out of this world was one of my favorite shows for a minute there.
yuck. i hate being memory-tarded.
anyway, the next challenge should be tv sidekicks with ridiculous names. boner, cockroach, six, buddy. they were everywhere in the late eighties and early nineties!
Barrelhouse is a literary journal that bridges the gap between high and low culture. This is the blog firmly planted in the low side of things: random thoughts from our editors and friends on music, movies, television, bubblegum cards, Mr. T, the importance of the movie Roadhouse and whatever else we argue about after we've had too many Brooklyn Browns.

Out of This World!
I knew that shit looked familiar. I totally remember that show. The blonde lead was super-fly.
My brother got 8 of these, including Check it Out! and Barnaby Jones.
Which should tell you something about my family.

And did you know that Scott Baio DIRECTED Out of this World? I did not remember that. My brother reminded me.
seriously, when i was really little my crush on scott baio was outshined only (and i mean only, and slimly) by my obsessive love for tony danza.
i was a sick, sick child.
