Success!

Success! Patrons and the Media gather outside Hillyer Art Space in fevered anticipation of the Barrelhouse Issue 6 release party!

Success! Barrelhouse editor Joe Killiany sells copies of issue 6 in front of a giant roller derby mural by Cory Oberndorfer!
Success! Barrelhouse board member, Pink Line mastermind, and event coordinator extraordinaire Philippa Hughes reads from the new issue!

Success! Barrelhouse editor Aaron Pease arm wrestles two DC Rollergirls at once!

Thanks to everyone who came out. We had a great time. We sold out of the 60 copies of the new issue we had on hand. Don't worry, though. You can still get them online. A big thanks to Philippa, Cory, Scion, the folks at Hillyer Art Space, Dan Gutstein, the DC Rollergirls, and everyone else who made this one of our best events yet.

Here are some photos from the party:

Glad the event was a success. Wanted to make it up, but had to kick it with the family. Thanks for including me in #6, can't wait to see it!

Thanks for not including any pictures of me spilling beer on your wife. Or of me eating french fries of questionable origin off of our table at The Big Hunt.

Great great great event! Thanks to Philippa and The Mighty Aaron Pease, who really pulled that sucker together. In case you were wondering, out there in Barrelhouseland, it takes not one, not two, but three DC Rollergirls to beat Aaron Pease at arm wrestling.
